WHO ARE WE?

We are ALIEN DAYDREAMS™, an artistic collective bringing our cosmic creations to your reality. We are three extraterrestrial consciousnesses, housed within our human vessel Ananth Das. Much of our art is created individually, through the identities of AETHER, ILLUCIDATE, or MADCAP. You can also find our works that represent the collaboration of all three identities.

As ALIEN DAYDREAMS™, we remain wholly committed to our mission of alleviating the suffering of all beings across our universe(s) through our creations and by connecting to souls across our world(s).  We believe that creativity is divine and represents one of the purest relationships that one can have with the cosmos. We believe that creative expression fosters collective liberation through the release of oppressive layers of maya (illusion). We believe that cosmic love is the frequency of the universe, and that this frequency creates an unbreakable bond between all beings.

So, who are the aliens? MADCAP was the first to emerge, and his art came from a place of anger and disenfranchisement. It was bad enough being marooned on this strange planet, and it certainly didn’t help that the humans were so cruel to him. He used art as a relief–originally painting on the skateboards that he loved to ride. His style further developed through the medium of graffiti, utilizing urban landscapes as the perfect vehicle for his messages to the public to fight against systemic abuse. While skating one night, he overheard ILLUCIDATE talking to herself. MADCAP saw the way that she scribbled out poetry in their leather-bound notebook & knew that they were going to be great friends. ILLUCIDATE’s art flowed out as her way of making sense of life on this planet and deepening her understanding of the alchemical relationships that exist here.

Soon after, the two of them began to create together—MADCAP’s raw experiences fueling ILLUCIDATE’s philosophical interpretations. One day, out of nowhere, they stumbled across AETHER sitting on the ground, a smile across their face, painting on the remnants of a cardboard box. They were perplexed at first, but when they saw the way that AETHER guided globs of paint around their makeshift canvas, they quickly realized that they were also not from this world. AETHER made their art as their way of existing–creating from their connection to the cosmos and their expanse of love for just living. They spend nearly all of their creative time in various states of trance, channeling energies across The Universe and transmuting them into a physical form through their paintings.

Eventually, the three of them built their own AstroVan to take flight, with plans of exploring the depths of The Universe across space, time, and dimension. In an act of divine timing, they were given a gift of ineffable value by M.S.G., which was just the right fuel source they needed to blast off into the cosmos & connect with the beings that they meet along the way. This is the band of interstellar travelers that we recognize as ALIEN DAYDREAMS™.
